lanechelseanme: I'm Karen from Sharon,PA. I'm a published author of "What's for Dinner from Karen's Kitchen" I'm starting a new series childrens book of stories about my 5 grandchildren who are the joy of my life. I'm a stay at home grandmother, I had to quit my job to take care of my ailing parents , then I was diagnosed with a rare condition called Acromegaly that causes brain tumors on the pituitary gland. Acromegaly-To make a long story short is - if you get this as a child its called Gigantism, if you get it as an adult its called Acromegaly. Your growth hormone is overactive. My heart was enlarged ,my liver was enlarged and my doctor gave me 5 years to live. I had a large brain tumor removed in November of 1998. So every November is a celebration to me!!! I still have Acromegaly and my doctors monitor it closely. I've just been working at home since then. Sewing, machine embroidery,tap dancing. I belong to an over 50's tap group that preforms in oour community. I sew most of the costumes. I am fairly new to the world of Cricut, SCAL and Inkscape. I love creating and experimenting with new things and I'm Thankful everyday that I can!
